Always Active, Always Welcoming

PTSC Fact Sheet

WHAT IT IS: A non-profit club, founded in 1977, for single Catholics, age 40 and over, who are free to marry in the Catholic Church. The objectives of PTSC are to share in Christian fellowship with one another and to promote participation in our Catholic parishes. Prospective members are welcome to attend up to three events before applying for membership. PTSC is listed in the Directory for the Diocese of Arlington (Virginia).

WHAT IT DOES: PTSC sponsors a variety of activities: social (dances, parties, picnics), community service (Christ House, sandwich making), religious (home Masses, Sunday Mass and brunch, Scripture Study), cultural (plays, museum visits, book discussions), recreational (hikes, excursions, golf), and dining (weekly lunches, monthly dinners, potlucks).

WHO HELPS: A council consisting of elected officers and chairpersons meets each month to plan events for the coming month. The planned activities are listed in the monthly newsletter, which is distributed to the membership. All members are welcome to contribute their time, ideas, and talents in suggesting or sponsoring activities or in assisting at them. Members are also welcome to attend meetings of the council on the first Saturday of the month.

ANNUAL DUES: $27 per year. EXCEPT: If you have NEVER been a PTSC member, annual dues for your first year are $27 before March; $20 in March through May; $14 in June through August; $7 in September and October; and $27 (credited as full payment of dues for the next calendar year ) in November and December.
